Through watching the movie Pleasantville, I have realized that the movie truly depicts problems that were going on during the 50's. This time is when people began to expierence new things that were completly out of the "norm" and then this lead to rebellion. In the movie, David is played by Tobey Maguire, and Jennifer is played by Reese Witherspoon. Both of these characters in the movie do a good job at playing their role as rebelling against the norms of Pleasantville. The act of their rebellion leads to other teenagers to rebel. Soon the whole town is rebelling against the norms.
